Allow me to formally introduce you to the Opulist app, a moment I have been waiting for since the first vision of Opulist came to me as I walked through the gates of Disneyland on November 1, 2022, and a labor of love I could not be more excited about or proud of.
The app was created to feel like a luxurious coffee table book that conveniently fits in your pocket, helping you swiftly locate the most beautiful places to stay, eat, drink, and see wherever you may find yourself.
This new era of Opulist builds on what we've spent the last 3.5 years curating and creating for the website. Now you can have your own account, save travel wishlists, view our curated collections, read articles about the intersection of design and leisure, get pinged when you're close to a spot you've saved, and much, much more.
I built Opulist with a vision of it being much bigger than just a pretty search site. I wholeheartedly believe in the healing and inspirational power of beautiful spaces, in gathering with the people you love in real life, and in elevating the creatives who make these locations possible. Opulist exists to help you find these places more easily, but ultimately it exists to aid you in the pursuit of a more beautiful and enjoyable life.
To preemptively answer a few questions:
Opulist is exclusively an iOS app for now. Our hope is to extend it to Android users in the future and we'll keep you posted on our plans here. In the meantime, you can join the Android waitlist.
We are currently covering U.S. locations, with plans to expand shortly! To cast your vote for which international cities we cover first, type the city you want into the search bar on the app and add yourself to the city's waitlist.
There's an easy way to submit new locations for our consideration: just head to the "You" tab and select "Suggest a Spot."
The app is completely free to use, though we hope to roll out a paid membership tier in the future offering premium perks and exclusive experiences.

My deepest hope is that we've created an app that is as beautiful to use as the places you'll find inside it are to walk into. And even after the thousands of steps it took to get here, this is still only the beginning of the next beautiful chapter of Opulist's story.
